Olivia’s Paris Birthday Party

DRESS // BOW // SHOES

Happy Monday guys! Whew! We had such a fun weekend celebrating our not so baby girl. You guys, I have a SIX year old…. what?!? Time has flown by but it just keeps getting better and better. I feel so grateful to be Olivia’s mom and I am SO proud of the girl she is and growing up to be.

We celebrated this last Friday with a Paris themed party. It is no secret Olivia is obsessed with all things Paris. I had a blast planning the party and putting in fun Olivia touches thru ought the evening. I got so many questions about the party and where I sourced everything, so I wanted to share all of that today.

I knew I wanted the party to have a dinner party type atmosphere. We played around with having it look like a cafe or a mini restaurant, but I wanted all the kiddos to sit together, so I decided on one big table. The color scheme was black and white with pink accents. The 7ft Eiffel tower was the first item I purchased and it completely made the room. We poked holes in the front of it and strung Christmas Lights in it to make it glow. You can even use twinkle lights too. My mom made the gorgeous centerpiece which was made from faux flowers, christmas picks and fake snow balls. So easy and made the perfect statement.  Since we were surprising Olivia with a trip to Paris during the holidays, we also used different Christmas accents and also added Eiffel Tower ornaments to the dining room tree.

I enlisted my sister to make the perfect menus and stickers for the party. They turned out absolutely perfect and looked so darling on the table. I also ordered personalized Olivia ribbon from Zazzle for the place settings and centerpiece. Olivia picked out what we had for dinner and of course it was her favorite spaghetti and meatballs. I made kid friendly charcuterie boards and they thought they were SO fancy when I brought them out.

Olivia picked out her cake and what she wanted on it. This type of cake is usually done with a lot of fondant, but we prefer buttercream icing, so we had them do the flowers in that instead. It was so stinking cute and tasted delicious!

In the Gift boxes, each kid received a beret, a pearl necklace or mustache, a passport and an eiffel tower ornament. One of Olivia’s favorite things at the Four Seasons and Montage hotels is the game they have kids play thru the hotel to get stamps or pins. I incorporated that is into her party and had the kids do different things with the family members to get their passports stamped. They had so much fun!

The chair sashes were one of my favorite touches as it reminded me of a Chanel box. I also incorporated hat boxes thru the decor and of course numerous Eiffel Towers.

We used a black hutch to hold all the sweet treats and displayed them like a bakery shop. For the party favors I wrapped up Baguettes for the guests to take home. It was equal parts funny and delicious. My niece busted into hers on her car ride home haha.

Then the grand finale was surprising our girl with a trip to Paris. You guys know how much I love to travel with Olivia. I made it a huge priority to give her experiences opposed to things. These memories we have created over the last 3 years are absolutely priceless. Our travel has had to slow down quite a bit with her being in school now and we now take advantage of school breaks so this Thanksgiving break we are taking Olivia on her dream trip to Paris! I have been to Europe, but not Paris, so I am SO excited too! I can’t even wait and I am SO glad the secret is out!
