Happy Monday! I came back from NYFW a day early because my sweet baby girl came down with a cold the first night we were there! The weather was bearable when we arrived Thursday but a big cold front came in Saturday. I can’t even begin to explain that level of cold. As much as I wanted to attend more shows and presentations, getting my baby girl home to get well was of course top priority. Also these 50 degree temps back home are rather nice!

This look today is one of my favorites for NYFW. I have alway been a huge fan of monochromatic looks. I spotted this coat online and built the rest of my look off of it. I actually looked for a grey skirt and sweater set for WEEKS, but failed. I was being a tad too picky for my own good. I then found this oversized dress and fell in love with the silhouette. This dress is effortless but still looks put together. Mixing dark and lighter hues of the same color gives depth to your outfit and it also gives you more flexibility with shoes and accessories.
