Today I have teamed up with ModCloth to talk about workwear! A lot of you may know that I still work full time as well as manage my blog full time. The most chaotic time of the day is always the mornings! I get up around 6am to get ready for work, check blog related emails and finish up that days post, if I did not get it done the night before. Around 7:00 I get Olivia up and around to head over to my mothers and then hopefully out the door by 7:30 to head drop her off and get to the office by 8. Picking out my outift for work needs to be quick and easy! Over the course of my career, I have come to the conclusion that classic pieces are the best for building your work wardrobe. Of course, you can still show off your personal style in a work place, it just needs to be done in a tasteful and chic way! This is wear ModCloth comes in…

My wardrobe consists of many items that I can wear to the office and on the weekends with simple style adjustments! I do work for a company that allows jeans, so I wanted to show you guys a typical outfit I wear during the work week as well as a dressier look that I wear to customer meetings. ModCloth has a huge selection of work wear pieces for both dressy and dressy casual looks! I love how their pieces are modest, but have unique and trendy touches. It is the best of both worlds for work attire!

For the first look I paired a green blouse under a fit and flare dress. I typically do not like to show my shoulders in the office, especially when I am headed to a customer meeting. I want to not only BE prepared, but LOOK prepared as well.  This black dress is a great staple as it is a modest length and looks very polished. You can pair it with a colored blouse like I did, or with a white button down for a classic look. I also love that this dress is a year round piece. Pair with a blazer and black tights in the winter or even top the dress with a classic bow cardigan for a fun girly look.

The next look is a dressy causal jean look. In my office we call this “smart jean attire.” I own a ton of destroyed denim, but when I find a pair of non destroyed denim I love, you better bet I am snatching them up! I styled the same green blouse, that I wore under the dress, with denim and an adorable gingham blazer. Blazers are at staple for a work wardrobe. I own SO many, and will never get rid of them, especially this gingham cutie! The fit is very flattering and just like the dress, this is a great year round piece.

With both looks I am carrying a gorgeous black tote. This is a must have for a working gal. Its the perfect size to carry your laptop, notepad and other meeting essentials. It certainly beats those bulky computer bags too, am I right?

I am so excited to now have found another place to shop for work wear. I know that I will always find great quality pieces, at amazing price points with a modest fit at ModCloth. I even found the CUTEST mug that would be perfect for a co worker gift too (always thinking ahead haha.)Be sure to check out even more of my favorite ModCloth pieces below.

I hope you guys are having a great start to your week! I am working on some fun blogger pointer posts that will be on the blog VERY soon! The first post will be my top 5 tips for new bloggers. If you have any other post ideas, please send them my way.

xoxo Tara
