When I got an email from Rent the Runway about sending me three dresses to try on, I jumped at the chance. I am a firm believer you are never too old to play dress up. The only sad thing about RTR is sending the beauties back. I have rented personally four times now and each time has been very successful. Not all of us have a celebrity budget and Rent The Runway gives you the opportunity to dress like a Celebrity on a normal gal budget. I love that they give you the option of getting a back up size for free. It’s kinda like a fashion insurance policy 🙂
The first dress is by Nicole Miller. I am a HUGE fan of Nicole Miller dresses. Her dresses that are made for a women’s body. This stunning purple mermaid dress hugs in all the right places. I was surprised how comfortable it was as well. I paired this dress with my Savoir Faire leather jacket to dress it down a bit.
Sizing: I am wearing a 2. Very fitted, but has stretch in the material.
Next is a Badgley Mischka peplum Dress. I mean this is just down right adorable! I adore the peplum style and the girly bow detailing. Like the Nicole Miller dress, this one is comfortable. I felt so glamorous and ready for a black tie affair.
Sizing: I am wearing a 0 and it fit like a glove. If you are large chested size up
Last but not least, is a stunning Rebecca Taylor Sequin Stunner. I first spotted this dress when Lea Michelle wore it on Glee in White.When I saw it as one of the RTR options I squealed. The fabric is super soft, the detailing is out of this world and most importantly, this dress has major twirlability. I adore this one.
Sizing- I am wearing an XS and it was big up top. I recommend sizing down if you are smaller in the chest.
