Weekend Stroll..

JACKET Joa via Lulus c/o (Runs Big, size down)| SWEATER Gap (love this and this) | SKIRT J Crew (love this (size down!) | BAG Tory Burch Fleming (love this and this) | BOOTS Mia (similar) | SUNGLASSES Karen Walker Super Duper

Today I am sharing a fun look with Lulus I have had my eye on this JOA jacket for months. I have been loving pastels this season and of course I am a plaid fanatic. I love how this jacket doubles as a coat. It is thick, yet not too bulky. I paired it with a pink sweater and my favorite ivory J Crew skirt. I plan on wearing it with distressed skinnies and a grey tunic for a more casual look.

I hope you are having a great weekend! We are supposed to get some rain, which means I will be snuggling with my baby girl and watching Christmas movies... to early? ; )

Go To Look

PLAID TUNIC Gap (LOVE & 40% off! Code SHOP) (love this too) | JACKET Tobi c/o | LEGGINGS F21 (similar, love these) | BOOTIES old (love these and these) | BAG Tory Burch (love this and this) | WATCH MK | NECKLACE old (love this)

Happy Friday! Today I am sharing one of my go to looks. Leather leggings are a staple every single year and I seem to be reaching for them more this season. Tunic's are every girls best friend. They are super flattering, easy to throw on and great for layering. I knew when I set my eyes on this Plaid Tunic from Gap that I was going to love it. The colors are gorgeous and the fit, well its perfect. Sizing wise it is pretty roomy (I am wearing an XS) so be sure to keep that in mind! Lastly this burgundy jacket from Tobi is the perfect layering piece. I have worn it twice this past week. I love the draped front and the optional tie to cinch in the waist. It also comes in two other colors

We do not have very many plans this weekend and that i am A OK with. After a couple busy weekends and a busy holiday week ahead, I am ready to relax with my little family.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Today I have another Thanksgiving look. I adore this dress from Nordstrom. The fit is fantastic and I love that it flares a bit. It comes in 4 gorgeous colors and you can't beat the price point. I plan on wearing it with leather leggings and a cropped moto jacket for a more edgier look later in the season. I also think it would be a perfect holiday dress paired with a faux fur coat and this clutch. As you can see, its a very versatile piece!

I have worn this trench cape 3 times already since I got it. I wore it last week buttoned up with leather leggings and a tunic and I love it opened up with this dress. I wanted to add a bit more color and this scarf was the perfect addition. Cobalt and Burgundy has been my favorite color combo this fall.

Tartan Cape

CAPE Maude c/o (LOVE!) | Top old (similar, love this and this) | DENIM Articles of Society c/o | BAG Tory Burch (love this style and this) | BOOTS Ivanka Trump c/o (on sale!) | SUNGLASSES Karen Walker Super Duper

How gorgeous is this Tartan Cape from Maude Boutique? Most southern girls want to monogram everything, me, I want to tartan plaid everything. haha But really, Tartan plaid is so festive, and classic. I love the detailing and flare on this cape. I paired it with my new favorite denim from Articles of Society. I have been searching for the perfect oxblood skinny and this is it! The price point ($59!) is very reasonable and they go with more than you initially think. The top I am wearing I literally almost burned last year. Why you may ask, well this baby got me thru my entire pregnancy. I wore it ALL.THE.TIME. It is now an oversized tunic and is perfect to wear under sweaters and capes. Thank goodness I didn't light that match.

Shop my outfit and few other capes I have my eye on below!

Livie Mae's Birthday!

Olivia at her first birthday party!
Jacket Persnickety  via Bella Jacks | TOP Old navy | SKIRT Jade Elizabeth Closet | HEADBAND peony and plum c/o (she is AMAZING!)

It is my baby girls 1st Birthday!

I can hardly believe a year has already passed. It is surreal to be sitting here writing a post about her one year birthday. I feel like it was just yesterday I was staring at a 6lb 5oz, full head of hair, big blue eyed baby girl. This has truly been the fastest year of my life.

It it really hard to put into words what this sweet, strong willed baby girl has taught us. Being a first time parent is the wildest yet most rewarding ride of my life. She has taught Drew and I more that we ever knew was possible.

Olivia is quite the over achiever. We always joke that she sets her mind to something... and MORE. I can't even imagine what the good Lord has in store for her. She is going to do big things.

Being a mother is the hardest thing I have ever done. There are days that everything is pure perfection and there are days that are a flat out mess. I have learned to laugh through my mishaps and learn from them. I have learned that I can't to everything. Over extending myself was almost a hobby of mine. I have cried and laughed more than I ever have in the past year. You feel helpless at times, but then you look at that sweet little face and everything is ok. I have learned it is ok to fail, as being a new parent is quite the learning process. I love this baby girl more than life itself. I do not even remember what life was like before her. I pray daily that I can be my best self for her. My life changed forever 1 year ago, and I can't wait for the many memories ahead.

A little bit about the Birthday Girl

Favorites- Olivia LOVES to dance. I need to post a video of her moves, because I think they are quite impressive haha. Her favorite song of the moment is Taylor Swifts "Shake it off" She also LOVES to read books. We read together every night and she gets excited every single time. She also loves her cousin Hayes. He is 4 months younger than her, but they are about the same size. My sister and I are lucky to have our mother as our child care provider, so they get to see each other all the time. Those two are going to get into a lot of trouble together.

Favorite Foods-Olivia loves oranges, green beans, marshmallows, pancakes, chick fil a chicken, peas, and cake pops (oops!)

Words- My girl is a quite the talker. She gibber gabbers allll the time, but will repeat just about anything. She can say her name, mama, dada, poppy, ABC, 123, thank you, hi, hey, ohhhhh yeah, pretty, bye, and more.

Milestones- She is ALMOST walking. I have a feeling it will be any day now.

Dislikes- Changing clothes. I swear its like wrestling a monkey! Being told No. Getting her hair towel dried. Long car rides. Any weird textures.

Here are a just a few of my favorite pics. It would be the longest post EVER if I had them all :)

I will have another post up on her birthday party soon! She had such a great time and had a smile on her face the entire time.

Thank you for stopping by!
xoxo Tara
